Relaxing spa weekend in Plaish

This weekend in Plaish Park farm with 6 friends was amazing! The farm is beautiful and the accommodation was clean with plenty of space and everything we needed for the weekend. Sara, Howard and the rest of the Jones family are great hosts and went out of their way to help in every way. From playing with the puppies, riding the ponies, scratching the pigs, helping with lambing to relaxing in the infinity pool, gym and spa.... Plaish has everything you need for a weekend in the countryside with family and friends. We can’t wait to come back and visit again soon!

Pops 70th birthday

We rented Turnip and Corn house as they could accomodate a large family group with 8 bedrooms. The accommodation is perfect for a large group with a round table that will seat 10 adults easily for dinner in corn house. Sara is very accommodationg and nothing is too much trouble. You really must vist the spa pool which is brand new and fabulous. You have a private session for 2 hours and It is £10 a head -but worth every penny .Towels are provided. The children loved the pool , go karts and the play area. You reall do not need to leave the farm. Tea coffee and sugar ,washingup and cleaning materials are all provided for you.. Thank you Sara

Great property

We stayed in Turnip House as part of a group of seven going to a wedding nearby. The house has been very thoughtfully converted, was very well equipped and as it was the beginning of December, the wood burning stove in the living room was particularly cosy. There was plenty of parking for our group and despite being a working farm, it was never intrusive. The new 25 metre swimming pool is very nice, you can book to use it in two hour slots. I would suggest everyone should consider booking a session in which to use it. We did not have a phone signal as the farm is in a rural location, but the wifi in the Turnip house was excellent. There are many excellent walks nearby. I would highly recommend this property

There's a time and a Plaish!

Sara kindly fitted us in at short notice, the accomodation is top notch, it's in a fantastic area. Dog friendly. A host of fun things for kids to do, onsite. We will definitely be returning soon. The spa looks great, but didn't get time to check it out.

Lovely quiet retreat

Spent a wonderful relaxing week here with family and dogs. Having packed everything required for a week's self catering holiday .. inc the Kitchen sink at my wife's insistence!! It was a pleasant surprise to find the the accommodation was fully supplied with everything you could possibly require . We had the olde cow house and the spinney retreat and both were equipped to a similar high standard. There are plenty of lovely scenic walks locally . And it is a very peacefully location with an abundance of wildlife. They have a gym, swimming pool available at additional cost. But the games rooms pool table, table tennis etc are all free of charge. Take basic essentials with you like milk, bread , butter . Shopping can be obtained from Church Stretton, Much Wenlock or for larger superstores Shrewsbury or Telford. A very historic area with plenty to see and do but you will need a vehicle. I suggest you contact Sara Jones directly with any queries as she will be only too pleased to help you with any issues or concerns you may have. Extremely friendly and a lovely place to relax very dog friendly also.

Great games party venue with lots to do!

I have been looking for a venue for a surprise birthday weekend and this place ticked all the boxes: 2 spacious cottages which joined seamlessly as one for a group of 16 people sleeping over (there were 2 king, 2 double and 4 twin rooms); Lots of parking space; All facilities were very accessible (swimming pool, two games rooms (pool table, table football, table tennis, piano, black board, dart board), tennis court, pedal adult and kids go karts, pony rides, farm animals (inc chicken pen where you can go and collect laid eggs), hike, boating in a lake, sandpit, mini playground, swingball in the garden, bbq with charcoal, the list is endless and something for everyone (and age) to do); Host Sara was really nice, lives onsite so was always around when you needed help but otherwise we were given a lot of privacy to enjoy ourselves. Didn't really want to leave!; The two cottages had everything, tea, coffee, sugar, cooking oil, cooking utensils, dishwashers, four fridges, CD's, books, magazines, board games, kid's toys and each cottage had a log burner etc; We wanted to bring arcade machines (a DDR and a retro arcade machine) which we were allowed to do and the hire company we used had no problem placing them in one of the games' rooms; and Finally the sweeping landscape of the Shropshire hills was amazing, especially during sunset. A few helpful fyi: Phone signal is poor in the area - I would advise working out the route in advance, the farm website has a good "how to find us" but maybe needs updating because Longville Arms Hotel is no longer there (closed down); There is wifi in the cottages, it is ok on the whole but can be a bit slow at times; Hiring the swimming pool and pony ride requires a small fee and at allocated times which can be booked with Sara onsite. Last allotted time for swimming pool is 5pm, it would have been good to have the pool available in the evenings too especially when it is still light in the evenings; and Min nights I could hire was 3 nights even though I only really needed it for the weekend, but I am still very happy with the choice of venue, just wish it could have been more flexi on stay. On the whole it was a very impressive venue and offered more than I imagined. Everyone that came all loved it. Some people wanted to return in the future, even if just to hire the swimming pool, which is modern and stunning with UV filtered water, jacuzzi, hot showers and lounge chairs with great views of the countryside.

Fantastic place and amazing family

We had a surprisingly eventful trip to Plaish- and the owners saved the day multiple times. We can’t thank them enough! The forecast had been for light snow (December 2017). Seven friends set out to meet up at Plaish from various parts of the country. The snow came down much heavier than anticipated and two of our group got stuck on a road up to the farm. Both with young children in their cars. The family were fantastic, they simultaneously rescued both of us and got everyone to the house, and their cars. The Tesco delivery couldn’t get through to the house, so the family kindly provided us with food (including fresh free range eggs!). They even provided sledges, and made sure we were able to safely navigate the roads home at the end of our stay. I really can’t rate this place highly enough. Would give 10 stars if we could! Also special mention to the friendly local family who also helped with the stranded car situation. Lovely part of the country.

Peaceful farm setting, countryside retreat

Such a relaxing break, lovely walks in the countryside, great to meet the pigs, collect eggs from the chickens, even watch a lamb being born, all part of a magical experience. The new leisure spa infinity pool is beautiful, and great to hire out the whole place for a real treat. The go-karts were a favourite with the kids, the games room was popular with the dads, playing pool! Even has a piano to show off their talents, really was a brilliant time for everyone. The accommodation is spacious, well kitted out, cosy log burning stoves, and comfortable, sumptuous beds with luxurious bedding. The newly appointed annexe is stunning. We will definitely return, the sooner the better!
